Captain Mike Holt
Captain Mike Holt started with the Jackson Police Department in 1982, serving first as a Dispatcher, then as an Officer in the Patrol Division and the Tactical Unit. In 1993, Captain Holt transferred into the Criminal Investigation Division where he served for over 20 years as an Investigator, Unit Commander and Division Commander.
Captain Mike Holt is a graduate of Leadership Jackson and an alumni of the FBI National Academy, 212th Session. Captain Holt is a board member of the Women’s Resource and Rape Assistance Program (WRAP), serves on the Mayor's Advisory Council on Sexual and Domestic Violence and chairs the Council’s steering committee for the Safe Hope Center, which is our Family Justice Center.
Captain Holt is currently assigned to the Administration Division and is responsible for:
- Grants: Captain Holt writes and builds collaborative partnerships to obtain grants beneficial to the community, city and department.
- Program and Project Management: Captain Holt manages grant-related programs and diverse projects as directed by the Chief of Police.
- Crime Intelligence and Analysis Unit
- Crime Prevention Unit
- Domestic Violence Unit
- Sex Crimes & Child Abuse
- Missing Persons & Non-Intimate Partner Violence
