There will be a Classic movie showing at 2 p.m. at the Jackson-Madison County Library HOME SWEET HOMICIDE, a 1946 movie based on Craig Rice's novel of the same name. The movie's cast includes Dean Stockwell, Randolph Scott, and Peggy Ann Garner.

Ace Atkins, author of CROSSROAD BLUES and other novels, will be at the Jackson Madison County library at 6:00 p.m. to sign copies of his newest book, DIRTY SOUTH. The former Auburn University football player and crime reporter for the TAMPA TRIBUNE now lives in Oxford, MS.

All finalist entries from the Jackson Symphony League's Color of Music art contest will be on display in the lobby of the Civic Center. More than 5,000 area students in grades K-8 listened to works on the school concert program and interpreted them visually. The Color of Music is sponsored by Aeneas Internet and Telephone.

Jordan Tang will lead the Jackson Symphony Orchestra in two educational concerts for young people at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. Performances will be given at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Admission is $4 for students and free for chaperones.
