City Council Meeting Minutes
CALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 21 , 2003 9:00 A.M.
The Jackson, Tennessee City Council met for a called meeting at 9:00 a.m., August 21, 2003, in the George A. Smith Meeting Room at City Hall with Mayor Charles Farmer and Council members John Bannister, Charles "Pepper" Bray, Ernest Brooks, II, Harvey Buchanan, David Cisco, Johnny Lee Dodd, Maurice Hays, Gerry Neese and Charles Rahm. Also present was Toni Ross, recorder of the minutes.
Council member Maurice Hays gave the invocation and led the audience in the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
The purpose of the meeting was to examine the 2003-2004 budget.
Council member Cisco made a motion to hold the meeting as an informational session and the public hearing be scheduled for August 28, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. Council member Buchanan seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
Department heads gave summaries of their budget proposals and answered questions from City Council members.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
