VII. PUBLIC HEARINGS:

1. Consideration of an Ordinance to rezone property located along Pipkin Road at the intersection of Pipkin Access Road, from RS-1 (Single Family Residential) District to B-5 (Highway Business) District, comprising 3.1 + acres.

2. Consideration of a Resolution to adopt a Plan of Service, an ordinance to annex, and an ordinance to zone an area referred to as "Hall" annexation area, located along Pipkin Road at the intersection of Pipkin Access Road, comprising 6.18

3. Consideration of an Ordinance to rezone property located on the north side of East Forest Street between North Highland Avenue and North Royal Street, "Mount Olivet Cemetery Historic District", from RG-2 (General Residential) District to RG-2/HC (General Residential/Historical Cultural) District, comprising 10

4. Consideration of an Ordinance to rezone property generally located on the east side of North Highland Avenue to Briggs Street and between East Forest Street and Stephens Street "Fairmont Historic District", from RG-1 (General Residential) to RG-1/HC (General Residential/Historical Cultural) District, comprising 25.7

5. Consideration of a Resolution to adopt Plan of Service, an ordinance to annex and an ordinance to zone an area referred to as "Technology Magnet High School", comprising 46.475

6. Consideration of an Ordinance to Amend Title 9 of the City Code of Jackson relative to insurance requirements for passenger vehicles for taxi cabs.

7. Consideration of Ordinances to close and abandon 13 unnamed alleys located throughout the City of Jackson. The alleys are:

a) Unnamed alley between Brookfield Apartments and Alexander Street;

b) Unnamed alley between Alexander and Mason Streets;

c) Unnamed alley between Mason Street and Sandy Creek;

d) Unnamed alley behind 1200 and 1204 Chester Street;

e) Unnamed alley between 114 & 118 Griffin Street;

f) Unnamed alley between 216 & 220 Griffin Street;

g) Unnamed alley between Wilson and Davis Streets;

h) Unnamed alley between Talbot & Dancy Streets;

i) Unnamed alley between Hicks and Courtland Streets;

j) Unnamed alley between 146 & 158 Stoddert Street and 137 & 143 Gates Street;

k) Unnamed alley around 212 Cedar and between Cedar and State Route 45;

l) Unnamed alley between Roland, Westwood, Prospect and Campbell Street; and

m) Unnamed alley off Northside Drive, said alley being between a closed and abandoned unnamed alley and Northside Drive and a section of alley located between Northside Drive to the back of 363 Forest.

8. Consideration of an Ordinance to amend the Official Code of the City of Jackson to revise the Sidewalk Ordinance.

9. Consideration of an Ordinance to amend the Official Code of the City of Jackson to revise the Erosion and Stormwater Control Ordinance.

VIII. SECOND READINGS:

1. Consideration of an Ordinance to amend the text of the City Zoning Ordinance, Article V, Section 12 (H); relative to administrative procedures for planned unit commercial development districts.

2. Consideration of an Ordinance to Amend the Official Code of the City of Jackson to Adopt the Establishment of the Environmental Advisory/Appeals Board.

3. Consideration of an Ordinance to Amend the Official Code of the City of Jackson to Adopt the Illicit Discharge and Illegal Dumping of Stormwater Code.

4. Consideration of an Ordinance to amend Title 15, Chapter 8, of the Official Code of the City of Jackson relative to parking.

5. Consideration of an Ordinance to amend Title 15 of the Official Code of the City of Jackson to permit issuance of downtown parking permits.

6. Consideration of an Ordinance to reapportion the nine council districts of the City of Jackson.

IX. NEW BUSINESS:

1. Consideration of a Resolution to adopt certain provisions with respect to City employees called to serve in "Enduring Freedom."

2. Consideration of request by Madison County, Tennessee to lease 109 and 111 Church Street for a minimum of 25 years for $1.00 per year.

3. Consideration of a contract in the amount of $84,780 with Traf-Mark, Inc. for pavement markings.

4. Consideration of a contract in the amount of $7,797 with Lesh Communications Service, Inc. for post warranty monitoring of the City's radio system.

5. Consideration of a contract with Golf Links, Inc. for consulting services in the operations and planning for the operation of Bent Tree Golf Course

6. Invoices over $10,000.

7. Board Appointment:

  • Historical Zoning Commission - Appointment of John Bonson to replace Martin Redfearn, who has resigned.
