The Health & Sanitation Dept. is undergoing restructure at this time. The claw truck operators are working diligently to pick up the mass amount of bulky waste piles and have begun a new routing system. There are 6 districts & 8 operators to cover the entire City. As the City opens back up from the COVID 19 stay-at-home order, our office will be taking an abnormal amount of calls for sanitation services to presume. We ask that you have patience and grace during this uncharted transition.
Be sure to bag and tie all residential waste and place in cans with secure lids.
Effective April 1, 2020, the following department changes were implemented:
All street sweeping calls or calls for storm inlet cleaning, Street Dept. at 425-8541.
Calls for loose leaf pick up, Groundskeeping at 425-8578.
For animal control calls, contact the Jackson Animal Care Center, 422-7028.
H&S will continue to take service calls for concerns regarding garbage collection. 425-8545
Waste Management is on a regular schedule for residential and commercial garbage collection at this time. If there are changes to this schedule, we will post the changes.
We appreciate your patience at this time.
