Support Services
Planning and Support Service Division is responsible for policy development, grants, uniforms services, fleet services, property management, community relations, training and crime analysis. The Division Commander is Captain Gerry Campbell.
Policy Development
Coordinates development and distribution/issue of new and revised general orders and other policies and procedures.
Grants
Coordinates the writing/administration of federal, state, local and private grants for the police department.
Uniform Services
Primary duties include outfitting department personnel with assigned uniforms, uniform items and related equipment.
Fleet Services
Duties include purchase of police fleet vehicles and instillation of equipment and vehicle maintenance.
Property Management
Manages property asset/assignment records of the police department.
Community Relations
Duties include planning and coordinating programs such as neighborhood watch, officer friendly, citizen police academy and other crime prevention programs.
Training
Duties include scheduling and managing training seminars, department annual in-service for sworn personnel, training records and new recruit orientation.
Crime Analysis
Duties include preparing monthly crime analysis reports, crime studies and annual yearend crime reports.
