Captain of Administration
Randy Lampley


Randy Lampley is a 30 year veteran of Jackson Police Department and is currently assigned as the Captain in the Administration Division responsible for: Central Record, Fleet Management, Building Management, Property Management, Seizures and Internal Auditing. Capt Lampley began with JPD in 1983 as a Patrol Officer and was promoted to rank of Investigator in 1986 with the Criminal Investigation Division. Upon begin promoted to Sergeant in 1989, then Sgt. Lampley was made the Police Coordinator for the Crime Stoppers program in which capacity he served until 1992 when he returned to active investigations in The Organized Crime Unit. Capt. Lampley was promoted to Lieutenant in 1996 and continued to serve in Criminal Investigations as the Commander of Property Crimes and was then assigned as the first Commander of the newly formed Metro Narcotics Unit. Later, Capt Lampley served as the original Commander of School Resource Officer Program. Capt Lampley finished out his final years in investigations as the Commander of the Financial Crimes Unit before transferring to Administration in 2010 as the assistant to then Deputy Chief Campbell.

Capt. Lampley served four years in the U S Air Force in the Security Police Field.
