Gill Kendrick



Gill Kendrick is a lifelong Tennessee resident Tennessee.  After graduating from High School, he attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. He was called to military service in 1970 serving in the United States Army.  Returning from the military, he farmed full time with his father.  He began his law enforcement career as an Auxiliary Officer with the Brownsville Police Department in July 1978. He joined the force as a full time officer in August 1978.  He worked as a Patrol Officer, Tact Unit Commander, Investigator, Assistant Chief, and became Chief of the agency in 1996.  He is a 1989 graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico Virginia.  He retired
in 2009 from the City of Brownsville Police Department after 32 years of service. He is a Past President of the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police. Chief Kendrick also presently serves as the Southern Region Representative to the IACP/SACOP Executive Committee.
