Following the guidelines for the “Employee of the Month” program, we are pleased to announce the May selection: Lt. J. D. Hale. Lt. Hale is assigned to the Patrol Division as a Staff Duty Lieutenant and has 27 years of service with the Department.

Lt. Hale has an awesome and a great sense of humor. He is very calm under stressful circumstances. He has a very well planned strategy to deal with such situations as evidenced by the recent tornadoes in our community. He asked for assistance from Central Records personnel and on the next day, returned to the same personnel to thank them for their efforts with his ever familiar “J. D.” smile.

Lt. Hale is an excellent cook. He often brings the best tasting dishes to the 2nd shift family dinners.

Lt. Hale is a husband and the proud father of 3 children.

As “Employee of the Month”, he receives a plaque acknowledging his selection, a $25.00 gift certificate to a local restaurant, a designated parking space for the month, and a day off with pay, among other special benefits.
