POLICE OFFICER POSITION

The Jackson Police Department is one of the largest municipal law enforcement agencies in the State of Tennessee. This progressive department has approximately 253 full-time employees and is experiencing continuous growth.

The employees that make up the department provide services such as uniform patrol, community policing, violent, organized and property crimes investigations, crime scene specialization, tactical operation, crime prevention and community relations. Other fields of assignment include: Metro DUI Task Force, 26th Judicial Drug Task Force, Community Crime Reduction Unit, Motorcycle Unit and the Hostage Negotiation Unit.
