The Housing Codes Department is responsible for the enforcement of codes and ordinances for the City of Jackson. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Jackson by addressing and eleiminating housing and blight issues by:

• Enforcement of Property Maintenance Codes for the abatememt and preserving of existing structures.
• Enforcement of ordinances to promote compliance of vehicle, litter, overgrowth, and nuisance issues.
• Working with other departments to ensure the safety, health and welfare of the City is preserved.
