City of Jackson “Clean Water Runoff 5K Run/Walk”

Join us on Saturday, April 26, 2014 for the “Clean Water Runoff 5K Run/Walk” that will be held in our beautiful downtown Jackson, TN. The event is sponsored by City of Jackson Stormwater Management to promote clean water and to draw attention to stormwater pollution and environmental issues in our community. All proceeds will go to Keep Jackson Beautiful to help them continue projects on litter prevention, education and beautification in the City of Jackson

After the event, you and your family can enjoy a full day of activities in the Farmer’s Market area. Keep Jackson Beautiful will be sponsoring Earth Day activities from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. There will be a Yard Sale and vendors under the pavilions at the Farmer’s Market. And if you have any hazardous wastes or oil based paint around your home, you can drop them off at the Hazardous Household Waste Collection event from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. and the race starts at 8:00 a.m. Pre-registration is $15 and $20 on race day. T-shirts are guaranteed to all that re-register by April 11, 2014.  Awards will be given for the top three in each male/female age groups, Overall and Masters.
