City of Jackson’s E-Cycle Events

There will be oil-based paint collection events on July 28 and October 27 at a location TBA

Recycling protects our environment by keeping hazardous wastes out of the regular trash, landfill and stormwater system. We have several ways to recycle in Jackson and Madison County.

LATEX PAINT
Latex paint (water-based) is accepted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday at the Solid Waste Convenience Center, 1932 Hwy 70 E. Questions? Call 424-6188.

OIL-BASED PAINT
Oil-based paint is accepted at quarterly recycling events. Upcoming 2012 events are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Jackson Fairgrounds, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July  28, behind the Farmers’ Market, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October  27, behind the Farmers’ Market.

USED OIL AND AUTO BATTERIES
Auto batteries, antifreeze, used oil, and oil filters are accepted during regular store hours at several local businesses. See chart below …
