Staging Area Info:
(Refer to the attached Staging Area diagram for location.)

  • Arrive at the Civic Center between 4:00pm and 6:00pm..
  • Drop Off for children at designated location only (see diagram).  Do Not leave children unattended.
  • Intoxicating Beverages /Tobacco: There shall be no open display or consumption of intoxicating beverages or tobacco products by parade participants. No person operating a motor vehicle within the parade shall consume intoxicating beverages during the parade, or at any time eight hours prior of the parade, or be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance at any time during the parade.
  • Candy/Favors:  Throwing materials or objects into the crowd, such as candy or other favors, is not allowed; items must be handed to spectators at the curb.  Any activity which might be construed as encouraging or enticing spectators to enter the parade route is not allowed.
Speed Limit:
Maximum Speed is 10 m.p.h. in the Staging Area and on the Parade Route.

Driver Verification:  A photocopy of a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required for all vehicles and rivers and must accompany your Entry Form. No Exceptions

Entry Fee:  $30 for Commercial or Business Entries.  Make checks payable to “City of Jackson”.  Payment must accompany your Entry Form.   All non-profit entries – no fee.

Trophies / Awards:  Trophies for winning entries will be awarded in the Lobby of the Civic Center immediately following the parade.  Decision of the judges will be final.
