City of Jackson’s Re-cycle Event - Next Event Saturday, October 26

Recycling protects our environment by keeping hazardous wastes out of the regular trash, landfill and stormwater system. We have several ways to recycle in Jackson and Madison County.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTES: The next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day Saturday, October 26

OIL-BASED PAINT: Oil-based paint is accepted at quarterly recycling events. The next event Saturday, October 26

LATEX PAINT: Latex (water-based) paint is accepted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday at the Solid Waste Convenience Center, 1932 Hwy 70 E. Questions? Call 424-6188.

E-Waste: E-cycle events, co-sponsored by Councilman Ernest Brooks II, are held at least once a year. The next e-cycle event for old computers and parts has not yet been set.

USED OIL AND AUTO BATTERIES: Auto batteries, antifreeze, used oil, and oil filters are accepted during regular store hours at several local businesses. See chart below …
